All Kinds of Art is designed to bring art enrichment to the children of the community. The program provides an artistic outlet for students through the performing, visual and literary arts. Season of the Arts The "Season of the Arts" brings live touring performances to community elementary and middle schools. The program has reached thousands of students through performances and workshops with musicians, vocalists, storytellers, authors, and theater companies.  AKA has brought performances to several schools in the area, including Butler Elementary, Destin Elementary, Edwins Elementary, Elliott Point Elementary, Destin Middle, and Pryor Middle Schools.  This program is funded, in part, by donors to the State of Florida, Department of State Division of Cultural Affairs, and the National Endowment for the Arts.

Volunteers needed for Art on the Harbor

Summerfest 2008

Destin, FL…. The Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation announces its partnership with the Destin Harbor Association to host ArtStop, a children’s interactive art activity tent during SummerFest 2008.  Volunteers are needed to help supervise children at the ArtStop Kid’s Tent in creating their own works of art. 

Kids can discover their artistic flair with hands-on interactive art activities every Sunday, starting June 1 through August 23 from 12:00 Noon to 4:00 p.m. at HarborWalk Village overlooking Destin Harbor.  A variety of exciting art and craft projects will be offered every Sunday afternoon where kids can take home their works of art.  Admission is free and made possible through Destin Commons and Legendary, Inc.
