Kamp Kellywamba - West Africa Meets Hip-Hop!

WEST AFRICA MEETS HIP-HOP WITH ZIG!     Zig is back by popular demand!  Students will create a mastered audio CD combining music, creative writing and technology on Zig’s workstation and digital equipment. Instructor:  Zig Wajler, Musician, Author, Educator, & Composer.

WEST AFRICAN HIP-HOP DANCE!  Students will learn basic West African Hip-Hop Dances combining elements of hip-hop with various dance styles.  Instructor:   Noreen Poppell of The Ballet Conservatory.

BECOME A CHEF!  Learn how to make authentic West African cuisine including beverages, rice dishes, cookies and much more.  Instructor:  Chef Tim Creehan, Melissa Creehan, & Christopher Struck of Chef Tim Creehan & Company.

MASKS AND MORE!  Explore a variety of art forms!  Create West African projects including masks, clay sculpture, drawing & painting, papier-mâché and more.  Instructor:  Eva Markham, certified art teacher

Parental Release for use of Student Images in all Formats

I (we) authorize Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation and those acting with its permission and under its authority to use and publish recognizable images of my child,                                                 in any medium deemed appropriate by Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation, including, but limited to:  Web Pages, newspapers, TV (Broadcasts to home), multimedia presentations and pictures for professional journals and magazines.

I (we) release and discharge Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation and all persons acting with its permission and authority, from any liability by virtue of use of photographs so long as same are used for an educational or promotional purpose by Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation.  I (we) warrant that we are the parents and/or guardians of                                          and have full rights to contract on behalf of said child.
