Sounds of the Season

Admission is a donation of an unwrapped child’s toy to be distributed among the participating church’s outreach ministries to provide a brighter Christmas for families in need during the holidays. A love offering at intermission will benefit the Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation’s educational outreach initiatives benefiting students, children and families, including people with special needs and providing therapeutic art experiences to wounded warriors in Okaloosa and Walton counties.

The Mattie Kelly Community Chorus represents a diverse group of men and women from several local churches and residents in our community. This year's concert will feature guest artist, Lori Jean Smith, an acclaimed violinist from Orlando, Florida. Lori earned her BA in music from Cedarville University and a Master's of Music from the University of Utah. She has developed a unique style all her own with a motto, "Music from the soul, for the soul. Artistry with passion…there is no other way to play the violin (or life)" stated Lori. She embodies the saying of J. S. Bach, "I play the notes…but God makes the music."
