21st Annual Sandestin Wine Festival

Over 20 years ago a visionary idea was conceived by a small group of wine enthusiasts in Destin.  The concept centered on the idea of fusing fine wine and cuisine with the white sand beaches and pristine waters of our “Emerald Coast”.  The 2007 Wine Festival brought in a record $750,000!  Proceeds will benefit three local charities, Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation, Children in Crisis and Sacred Heart Hospital on the Emerald Coast.  This marked the 9^th season for the partnership with the Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation and the Sandestin Wine Festival.

Weekend events included Patron Wine Dinners taking place at some of the Emerald Coast’s finest homes.  Private dinner parties featured notable wine celebrities and nationally recognized guest chefs.

The Destin Charity Wine Auction on April 21 featured award-winning wines from internationally acclaimed vintners poured and paired with fine cuisine created by a selection of the area’s top chefs.  The evening included alive auction for rare and distinctive wines, travel packages & other spectacular one-of-a-kind items.

Wine lovers enjoyed the Grand Wine Tasting on April 21 & 22 at the Village of Baytowne Wharf.  More than 500 domestic and international wines in all styles and varieties were available for tasting.
